Wanderlust
Wanderlust was established by Ursula Stevens in 1981. The company focused on guided mountain walks and trails in the Cape Peninsula, the greater Cape region, including Namibia. Most tours were personally led by Ursula who tapped into these experiences to write a number of travel books published by Wanderlust. Later, the focus shifted to the historical cultural city walking tours “Cape Town on Foot” which closed down in May 2020. The visitor can, however, continue to explore Cape Town and Bo-Kaap by following the VoiceMap audio tours that Ursula created in English and German. For information on the books and the audio tours, please click the relevant links on the left.
Wanderlust Audio Walking Tours
Self-guided audio walking tours are available through VoiceMap in English and German. They explore the inner city and Bo-Kaap and are ideal for visitors with less time on their hands and those who wish to be independent of groups. Download the VoiceMap app here . Select a Cape Town on Foot tour, Listen to a pre-view, then purchase and download a tour from Google Play or via iPhone. Please take a moment to rate your experience at the end of the audio walk
